fyi: many, many spring reverbs suffer from noise/hum. They are VERY susceptible to it. I don't have an a-199, but my orban spring hums if it's in my rack but doesn't if it's elsewhere away from other things. so this noise is most likely a problem with most spring 'verbs, I think

I agree with ps_minor about the build quality. You could use the controller as a means of self defense. I take mine with me whenever I travel at night. As for comparing the A198 to a Moog ribbon controller, in what way do you mean, and which controller? The 956, or the controller

Analogue solutions make a very nice MS 20 filter called the sy02. You can also get it with Doepfer power connectors (it's also Doepfer case compatable). Compared to my old MS 20, it sounds pretty good! andrew bunny

Kevin, If I may offer a couple of observations... Don't dismiss the A110 VCOs, as they offer a slightly different mode of sync, and are also a bit punchier than the A111 VCO. I find when using hard sync, I always end up with the A110 as a slave because (at least in my opinion) th
