Fairlight IIx sound swap?????

2006-07-27 by Kevin Kelley

I have recently found several disks for my IIx that I did not even know that I had! With those sound disks I found several blank unformatted disks as well. This got me thinking, I love to hear new samples on my IIx, and it can be very inspiring. Are there any legal or logistical

Ah, i see... Yep, I agree. There are very few technical questions on this forum and when there are, I find the response is quite minimal, if any. I know there are many fairlight geniuses out there too ;-) Kind regards, Peter On 7/27/06, James Thomson jamesthomson@mac.com > wrote:

Hi Guys, The Jarberry Cmi has no midi box on the back and a non working light pen. I like how the only time we seems to have a lot of activity on this list is when a CMI is for sale on Ebay. The prices have gone up and will keep going up. Cheers, James On 27/7/06 09:56, "Rob Puri

Hi all, Can anybody tell me the name of, and some details about the patch that Peter Gabriel used in "Lay Your Hands On Me"? It sounds a little like a BB rattling around in a can. Jan Hammer also used it at the end of his single version of the "Miami Vice" theme. There's a patch

At this point I can preview sounds but not load a sample

Hi all, I do think that if you create a voice with the "VC" command, the Fairlight creates a default sound which is a sin wave. So you should be able to test your voice cards before trying to load a sound from the HD. Hope it helps. Laurent.
