Unfortunately you can use only one fx algorithm per program number and it s going to be the applied accordingly, for all the sample programs (drums,keys,etc)

if it s booting up then it should try to read the disk even if your floppy drive is broken. that s a fairly good indicator of how well your s1000 is doing,
