Just to throw my hat into the ring, I'm happy to contribute toward moderating the group. I also think Brandon's idea is a good one and would, if asked for a vote choose "a real email list (with archives and a mail interface for settings/sub/unsub)" as described in Brandon's post.

I guess the obvious should be mentioned - whether you're using FM or ring modulation, stick to sine tones for both the carrier and the modulator. Otherwise you're going to get some side bands with the log FM in on the RS-95 which is not going to sound natural to your bell. So if

hello, The easiest ways in my opinion are either using FM/oscillators modulating each other, or the most simple of all, audio-rate lfos. Put the lfo in "high" mode with a really fast frequency (rate) and adjust the pitch env to taste. Good luck, Shawn Cleary schism@traumatik.net

FM or ring can do the timbre for you. The envelope is also important. You need no attach (duh!), a pretty rapid decay and a low level for the sustain with a very long decay. If you're recording this sound, play it back at half speed and your bell will become huge. zendenker wrote

hello stuadh, the concussor modules have the same mounting hole spacing than doepfer, so you will have the same problems with gaps in the rs15 frame. i hate those gaps too, thats why i mounted my concussor modules in a doepfer frame and reserved my integrator frame for integrator
