Did you check to see if the plastic button was pushed onto the post or seated funny? If so, pull it off and reposition it. That helped me on one occasion.

i dont mind the encoders ---if they work consistantly--- i like that they respond to how fast you turn them---this is handy with 1-128 range parameters---

there is talk here that the problem is not encoders VS. pots , but cheap shortlived encoders versus better quality encoders... encoders get jumpy

it are encoders (not pots), and when the go jumpy or not reacting it isn t very much logical (it isn t the same in every patch etc) kind like a virus it
