Hi, I understand your request and personally I think one of the great attractions of the A-100 system is the wealth of modules available. In my opinion, the polls section should be redesigned. This group is dynamic. People learn about the sound design by using the modular system

I should precise, that to me, the first simple version seem to be very valuable. It offers things I can not do actually with my synth, like panning 4 audio channels to the stereo outputs...

Hi Andrew, It depends on what you want to do with your system. For instance, in a techno-based setup you could do without another MIDI controller as you already have two (very nice) sequencers. Some routes to explore: the DE only has one oscillator, another one (or two) will grea

thanks to all your feedback, thus far. your comment is very helpful, York l.. As goes for the rest of you. Yes, i'm trotting down the path of electronic/techno. I agree, additional VCO definitely are something that should be part of the basic stable. That's one thing definitively

Hi Andrew, That sure makes sense to me ;-) I'm having the same 'problem' not being able to buy a pre-build system, so I decided to construct one myself, which in due case led me to Doepfer. As you can see here http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Doepfer_a100/photos/album/1838015066/pic

Thanks ; yes i tried patch CV3 to VCF F. The problem i had was the permanent signal/tone and the end of the ADSR envelope. VElocity works, but again the volume just doesn't decay to the inaudible. I tried fiddling with the suggestion. > Set VCA source to ADSR, > turn up AM full.

It's not possible without additional hardware. To combine the ADSR with velocity they need to be multiplied together, rather than added, and the DE simply doesn't have that feature available. So, you'd need another VCA. Don't know if you can get "good enough" by:- Set VCA source
