Hey all: The 155 seems to have all sorts of interesting possibilities hidden in it's corners. The external inputs for each step seem to be one of those things that you sort of go "wow. imagine the possibilities" at. Problem is, I can't really think of a good use for having a sign

I think it could be done entirely with ttl chips, no? a 9v battery should power it fine. This is sort of what I had in mind. The 'adapter' would have 3 or 4 cables coming out of it to plug into the appropriate plugs on the 155. TTL chips are almost free. The most expensive thing

It seems to me that being able to switch the 155 over to a 16 step in stead of dual 8 is fairly straightforward using 2 other modules. Rather than have to rig this up every time one would want to use 16 steps, I was thinking that it may be a very simple thing to rig up an adapter

As a proud owner of a MAQ 16/3 I would love an option/mode that displays the note # or name "A3" as the note row knob is turned. As of now it is all by ear, unless you are in step mode. A visual feedback of where the knob is turning would greatly enhance the usability of the MAQ.
