I picked up a Pocket Electronics kit a few weeks ago and I decided to go with 16 pots. I know linear is the way to go but what value should be used? 10k, 50k, 100k, ect ect ect.... Thanks!

You may simply connect the "hot" midi output signal (i.e. not the GND pin) of the first module to the "hot" midi input of the second module. Connecting the GND is not required as the GND connection is made via the A-100 bus. That way the second module received the same Midi signa

This normal. You should see it this way: the gain knob controls the 'opening' of the VCA together with the control voltage at the cv input. In your case this is an envelope which is most commonly a positive voltage, so putting the gain at 0 is a good setting. Try putting the gain

Great news that the serge/cgs/doepfer vcs is coming through. I'm using lots of DUSG's since long and have 2 front panel tips: -groups switches and led to gain space for extra (feedback?) knob or ergonomics. -UP/DOWN pots next to each other and both cv pots next to each other too.
