the sd1 does not really need a floppy as it can recieve sysex dunps so you can keep on using it with out the floppy drive theres no os disk as its in the rom

I believe that the SD drive is a HD drive with the hole sensor disabled. ie all diskettes look like a DD to it. ... I believe that the SD drive is a HD drive

In DD drives only DD disks should be used without problems with data or even disk drive. HD disks with closed hole formatted to DD shouldn t be used. HD
