Hi Brian, To format a HD on a rev6.03 CMI 3, you need a program to format and partition it which is not delivered in standard. Even though you would have a formatted rev6.03 HD, you would need to boot on a floppy to restore the tapes into the /k* partitions... Hope it helps. Laur
