The R1800 does not have ABW mode like the 2400, 3800, etc. I assume you printed out the 101 Step ChartThrob on the R1800...were you using the Epson Print

Funny... I ve had my 1800 for 1 year now running CIS with no problems whatsoever.. I do tend to leave it turned on though.. does this make a difference ?
