Hello fellow AS lovers.... My name is Charlie and along with my studio bods, we own an RS8000. This is one of the most amazing synths I have ever used. I am still in awe of the tuning stablilty, and how that resonance on the multimode is so PHAT..... Anyway I thought I would intr

Hi Arnauld, Your English is fine, I was just in a hurry. Yes, you can use a filter as a sinewave oscillator! All you need to do is turn up the resonance until you get feedback (don't connect anything to the input), then use the 1V/oct CV input to make the filter play notes from t

Hi Arnauld, Sorry if my last post was unclear but I just re-read your message and I get it now. The multimode filter in this case, is being used as a sine wave oscillator. There is no VCO in the line up - just the output from the filter going into the comb filter. You could use t

If you use patchchords that are long enough to allow the unit to lay down ont he faceplate, you're not stressing the cord/jacks any more than you would normally if it was panel mounted. it works fine as long as you don't have the thngs hanging in air.

I'm using Doepfer mults. They are better than A Sys (just kidding). I got D mults initially because I hate taking panel space for them, and the D ones are thinner than the A sys model. but I understand they are important. So I pulled them when I had to make room for the RS290/95
