IC 13 is the Boot EPROM and is changed with the SCSI update. I believe I have a Non-SCSI EEPROM around somewhere still- but it is most likely you may have bent

if its a 1mb machine that might be the problem as the 512k being 8bit data will double when its put into the emax2 as its put into 16bit data structure the
