Mine seems to clock accurately at somewhere up to maybe 10 to 20 hz through the 16 steps, then it gets blurry in a sense. The leds begin to do funny things as they attempt to keep up, changing the frequency of the vc has some effects on the results even at the 1 or 3 k range, but

The person that was selling/made that cable (Steve Thomas) is very knowledgeable when it comes to EMS gear (and other modular gear.. and a lot of other things). If he was selling it as a way to interface with other gear I am almost sure that he compensated for the 10V trigger in
