Hi, There are basicly two options: Either 1- the HP photosmart 7760, 7770, 7790 with a dedicated gray ink cartradge. Drawback: it only prints upto letter size.

Steve, sounds like we are definitely talking about the same phenomenon. Interesting that you get it on EEM but not PR; I always get it on PR and never on EEM.

Ok I am not using a 9600 but rather a 2100. USB and OS-X 10.3.3. No problems switching from one driver to the next or switching from matt to pk ink etc.

One caveat is that the Sandisk Cruzer memory sticks will not work with Linux. The how to I mentioned looks a little old as I went through it but it is ok. For
