You can install ghostscript before or after. Repair permissions and restart. If that doesn t work go for the utility I mentioned. The OSX group is very helpful

I ve had similar problems. The Gimp print installer comes with an uninstaller. Uninstall, then reinstall. worked for me. John Merrill
