What you say is correct. They were originally for use in a CIS. They are now used in refillable carts mainly because they don t infringe on any Epson patents.

You can t judge the ink levels by looking down in the cart. I try to catch them before they run dry. Hasn t seemed to hurt my printer any. They are not without
