I had a similar problem when I wanted to use the Eboni-6 inkset in my newly refurbed 1400. The MIS prefilled carts were version 6.3 and were not recognized.

Thanks Paul All the chips are v 6.0. MIS now sell carts with v6.3. So maybe the firmware update has caused a problem with the older chips. Interestingly
