Hi Ken I'm calibrating some CGS48 VCO's and i need to know what position to have the knobs in to adjust the ZERO trimmer. I have the 'Tune' knob at 12 o'clock. Does the position of the 'Frequency' Knob have any bearing on the calibration process ? Should it be at 12 o'clock too ?

Oop, speaking of errors, the 2.2K resistor in the schematic of the Peak section of the Peak and Trough circuit, the one between the base of the lower PNP and the input diodes, should be a 220K according to the PCB overlay and the original Serge schematic. http://www.cgs.synth.net

It's drawing too much current for the 10R resistor. Try putting in two 10R in parallel. That will halve the resistance and double the wattage. I don't have a current figure for what it draws under usual circumstances, so I don't know if it is drawing excessive current or not. Ken
