Well- a stock floppy is about $75 US. My suggestion- follow the instructions on my Wordpress site and modify the slim adapter.

Hot swap is ok on HxC for me w/ Rev. C. The catch, use the HxC software utility to create a custom config file and uncheck (disable) the Load last loaded
