One test to see if the sequencer is working properly would be to take a seqeuncer sysex dump, load it into your CZ-5000, and see if it plays.

Interesting! As a CZ-1 is based on all the other CZ s (101 included), the method for retrofitting a similar internal battery on the lower CZ s may be similar.
