Yes, the RA3 works in bigger CZ s. The RA5 is similar except with more memory (32 patches instead of 16 - I think) Bigger CZ s = CZ 3000, 5000 and CZ-1. Same

So does the RA3 work in bigger CZ s? and what do you mean by bigger CZ s? What does the VZ range use then?
2012-03-24 by 350ypvs@googlemail.com
Yes, the CZ is the only Casio range that uses the RA3 (and also the RA5 for the bigger CZ s). I think there was an after-market cartridge available called an

ra3 is the cz101 cartridge. no clones afaik. the idea about a mod involving a 3v lithium-if needed- would be similar to what would be required to backup a

The 1000 is the same electronically inside as a 101. The 1000 is basically a 101 with full sized keys. The 6 D batteries for the 101/ 1000 are meant for them

Why are you saying they loose there memory? Like I said, the CZ 1000 uses 6 D batteries for that AND playing with no psu connected. But it keeps it s memory

Actually thats a good thing,no batteries leaking and knackering the motherboard. Just the battery compartment keep an eye on. J
2012-03-24 by 350ypvs@googlemail.com
The CZ 101/ 1000 do not have memory back up batteries on their mother boards, hence them losing their memory when the keyboard is switched off. I swear when I

The battery used in the RA3 is a Lithium type of button battery - BR2016 or CR2016. They are available on places like Ebay for very little:
