1. Both Emax I and Emax II OS do actually contain code to receive transfer of the 8 bit, compressed Emax I banks from an external device using 500k baud RS422.

This could also be a shorted out pathway. I had this issue and used emery cloth to sand down the insulator over the pathway, cleaned the pathway and sealed it.

sd2.82 does not have sampler support you need the numbus card to work with the the old version of the sd2 as it does not work on the pci card it the audio
