Thanks man, that was exactly what I was afraid of... which is pretty useless, rarely would anyone want to actually play 12 notes at once, but switching chords

irrespective of all the spillover and sound concerns, if you have a 6R, then you probably oughta add a 6R just to keep things alike and interchangable. On a

Hello, I think the spillover won t work in the way you expect. Actually, i have not tested it myself since i only have one M-6R and one M-1000 (poor me ;) But
2010-11-14 by Nicole Massey
I may be completely mistaken about this, but this is how I remember voice allocation working on the 6r. When you play a note, and then repeat that same note

Hello, I am a new Matrix 6R owner, and I want to expand it to 12 voices by adding another unit. I have read that the 6R and 1000 sound slightly different

i think there are actually some relatively cheap cv pedals out there, behringer makes one in the $30 range.

No ! you are wrong both KBD and rack of the matrix6 have 2 pedals input both of them, read the manuals carefully

yeah, looking on the web a bit you are right, I was under the impression expression pedal=cv pedal, but cv pedals are active. Are there any manufacturers still

Okay, if it s a TS plug then we re very probably talking about a CV pedal instead of an expression pedal. I would suggest the trick I mentioned earlier to

I plugged a Yamaha FC7 into the Pedal 1 jack--the Matrix 6 senses it and will transmit the appropriate CC# via midi to my computer but only for value 0-14
2010-11-04 by tacitron
... Yeah, the Matrix 6 keyboard has both. According to the manual, pedal input #2 is a momentary pedal / switch pedal. It also functions as a trigger input.
2010-11-04 by Paul Cunningham
if it doesnt take a cv pedal it takes a regular switch like a sustain pedal. it has to be programmed into the modulation matrix to work. it usually does

You might try a pedal with a 50K pot. I seem to remember this was the standard Oberheim pedal.

No, the keyboard has two pedal inputs, unlike the rack. Third try.

I m still confused about this process.....you are proposing giving up VCA number two, which would be routed to be controlled by CC#7..is there a block
2010-11-02 by steinbergerstyler
I actually want to use the built-in CV pedal input to control CC #2--according to the manual this can be done...anyone?
2010-11-02 by LarryS
The M6R does not respond to CC 7 or midi volume like the Matrix 1000 does. This is the chief reason I could not get rid of my M6R fast enough. Great machine.
