Ron, Cubase SX only syncs to MTC - it will NOT sync to midi clock. I think this is the big issue as most hardware sequencers send midi clock only and not MTC.

I have regular old SX and it won t do it ... (mine is a crack tho!) Maybe the real one does it... Haven t had any luck when I tried on other people set

I just can t believe one of the big three (two? four?) sequencers can t do the simple task we are asking it to. I am going to investigate again tonight.

i suppose the only solution would be to get a device that converts midi clock to midi time code. i wonder if those JL Cooper boxes would do that somehow...
