IMO you have to add the price of IP to the 2200 cost if you are doing b&w. I can only comment on it and the 1160, but the 2200+IP, the 2200 is much more plug

Robert: I have an FS-4000, and I find it *much* better than the 2700 dpi scanner that it replaced. 2700 dpi and ISO 400 silver film do some nasty aliasing.
