Why don t you just use Logic s save channel strip feature. Set up a synth, with a patch and plug ins then save it. You can create folders within the channel

I usually use a key command to merge the two notes. To make it exactly 8 beats, I would stretch it out to 9 beats or whatever, then set the cycle locators to 8
