Yes it is, but only on an EMAX-II (unless you change it). Not on EMAX- HD/Plus. The internal HD of an EMAX-HD/Plus has the ID set to 0. You can remove this

As far as I know the Emax Plus can only boot from either floppy or SCSI 0. So you ll need a SCSI device which can have the SCSI ID set to zero. External ZIP

Yes, it always looks at the floppy but should automatically count through the SCSI chain until it finds your Zip, which will be either 5 or 6 and terminated,
