... It s not as simple as that. As far as I know, PS does dithering during this conversion which produces smoother image than just throwing away extra bits

Barry, I heard it was Endurance Matte. I m sure it s one or the other! Jerry Shilesh has confirmed NO watermark on the 13x19 100 sheet box.

Tony, You might want to contact ColorByte directly as to where they are in supporting the MIS VM inkset. Note that Epson driver controls (Photoshop curves)

I too used some Eclipse but was not that impressed. While it has a nice finish it was lacking a little depth that I get from Hahnemuhle torchon and photo rag.

Doug, There s no magic to converting from 16 bit to 8 bit, you just throw away the 8 least significant bits. I can t imagine that there would be any difference

I ordered Enhanced Matte from Atlex.com in the 13x19 size in the 100 pack (which was 2 x 50 poly bags in a single box). The paper has no watermark in the back.

The vm-sepia inkset uses the same densities as the standard MIS-VM inkset. As such, I hoped that the curves that currently existed would be at least close.
