The curves are all for Matt. And using the R1800 Standard profiles, that is all I seem to have. I DO have some good Matt paper, but I do want gloss. What next

Yes, it prints without fail... and is nice black and white.. but the ink is not fixed.. not sure quite what that is about... on glossy paper, i can just smudge

You may want to consider a CIS (Continuous Ink System). I bought one for my Epson R1800 and I highly recommend it. This vendor has a similar one for the R260.

The reason the question was asked is because the usual use of QTR is for managing the printing of monochrome images using inksets with multiple shades of grey.
