If you have the old carts lying around I would use the chips from them on the new ones. The chip is secured to the cartridge with two tiny pieces of plastic.

According to MIS: To print on glossy papers use the PK black. To print on matte paper use the K black (Eboni). There is no middle ground. The PK loses is Dmax
