The latest software version for the VFX-SD is the 3.00B. It also concists of a EPROM and SOUNDROM change. My VFX-SD was refitted with this back in 1990

The Sequencer OS version has (AFAIK) to match the internal VFX-SD EPROM version. So If You Want to Upgrade You´ll need both the SeqOS and the companion EPROM.
