I ve done essentially the same thing on my 4000 and can t duplicate a problem. Eric s idea about cutter ON/OFF on the printer may have merit. Do you use both

The main thing to check is that the selection on the printer itself agrees with the selection in QTRgui. They both should say Roll Paper for it to work
